​​Môi trường Dulbecco đã sửa đổi của Iscove (IMDM) với 25 mM HEPES được khuyên dùng cho nhiều ứng dụng nuôi cấy tế bào. Môi trường này là một biến thể của Dulbecco′s Modified Eagle′s Medium (DME) có chứa selen, axit amin bổ sung và vitamin, natri pyruvate, đệm HEPES. Các nghiên cứu sâu hơn đã chứng minh rằng Môi trường của Iscove′s sẽ hỗ trợ tế bào lympho B ở chuột, mô tạo máu từ tủy xương, tế bào B được kích thích bằng lipopolysacarit, tế bào lympho T và nhiều loại tế bào lai. Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium thường được kết hợp với huyết thanh bào thai bò (FBS, 10%) vì thành phần của Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium không bao gồm các yếu tố tăng trưởng, protein, hormone hoặc lipid cần thiết để thúc đẩy sự phát triển của tế bào.

Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium (IMDM) with 25 mM HEPES is recommended for a wide variety of cell culture applications. This medium is a modification of Dulbecco′s Modified Eagle′s Medium (DME) containing selenium, additional amino acids and vitamins, sodium pyruvate, HEPES buffer. Further studies demonstrated that Iscove′s Medium would support murine B lymphocytes, hemopoietic tissue from bone marrow, B cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide, T lymphocytes, and a variety of hybrid cells. Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium is frequently combined with fetal bovine serum (FBS, 10%) as Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium composition does not include the growth factors, proteins, hormones, or lipids needed to promote cell growth.
