Eagle trung bình tối thiểu-Sửa đổi alpha (alpha-mem) với các nucleoside được khuyến nghị cho nhiều ứng dụng nuôi cấy tế bào. -L-glutamine dipeptide. Đây là biến thể phong phú nhất của công thức MEM được cung cấp. Nó chứa tất cả 21 axit amin bình thường, một số ở nồng độ tăng lên. Minimum Essential Medium Eagle - Alpha Modification (Alpha-MEM) with Nucleosides is recommended for a wide variety of cell culture applications.This α-MEM differs from the original formula, because it is supplemented with L-alanyl-L-glutamine dipeptide. This is the most enriched variation of the MEM formulation offered. It contains all 21 normal amino acids, some at increased concentrations. In addition, it contains 5 additional vitamins.MEM has typically been used for the cultivation of cells grown in monolayers, however additional supplementation to Alpha MEM has expanded the applications for this medium.  Alpha-Minimal Essential Medium is frequently combined with fetal bovine serum (FBS, 10%) as Alpha-Minimal Essential Medium composition does not include the growth factors, proteins, hormones, or lipids needed to promote cell growth.
